Yirranma Place Identity
Identity, Guidelines, Signage, Digital, Strategy
Yirranma Place is a community precinct for social purpose with philanthropy at its heart. Commissioned by the Paul Ramsay Foundation, Yirranma Place is the first purpose-built philanthropy centre in Australia. We were engaged to assist with the naming, positioning, brand identity and signage program.
Yirranma (yeer-rahn-ma) is a Gadigal word meaning “many create”; synonymous with the intended purpose of the building and the community it aims to create. It is a contemporary meeting place on the land that has been part of Gadigal country for tens of thousands of years.
Design system
Yirranma Place is a place for growth; a place for regeneration, a place for good and a place to inspire others to do good. Building on these themes, Australian native plants informed the colour palette, room naming and graphic identity.
Design Application
Yirranma Place is a precinct focused on generating impact for the not-for profit sector and demonstrating the power of social enterprise for change.
The identity functions across a range of media including digital, print and wayfinding signage.
