Making Identity
Making was created for the Australian Institute of Architects annual conference in Perth in 2014. Collaborating with creative directors Sam Crawford, Adam Haddow and Helen Norrie, we explored the role of the architect as maker of environments and connections that extend beyond the bounds of traditional practice. We expressed the making process through handmade crafts, an alphabetic ‘matrix’ that creates imagery when words are input, dot-to-dot portraits of the speakers and a stop motion video, resulting in a visual language that is vital and dynamic. Scope included concept, video, identity design, logo, printed ephemera, illustrations, publication design, uniforms, website and digital advertising, motion graphics design, presentation design, environmental graphics, and posters.
