Identity, Guidelines, Strategy
Pocket is a structural engineering practice in Christchurch, New Zealand. They have honed their craft in some of the most challenging conditions on earth. Pocket approached us with an ambitious brief: They wanted to be part of great, inspiring projects, they wanted to work with the best architects around and convey a perfect partnership between engineering and architecture.
Working with Pocket, we developed the ‘engineers for architects’ positioning as well as a messaging framework and visual identity that delivered on this strategy.
Design System
The brand symbol depicts a parallel flange channel, a familiar part of the structural engineer’s toolbox. The 1:2 ratio of the channel is expressed across the identity with the precision that you’d expect from a group of engineers.

Client Testimonial
“We were absolutely delighted with the work Garbett produced and are so proud of our new brand — Innovative, clean, modern, and perfectly aligned to who we are and what we stand for.
We were highly impressed with the way they took the time to hear our story and vision for the business…and with the clarity of communication and attentiveness that we received throughout the design process. We cannot recommend Garbett highly enough.”
